PxP. These three letters represent our ethos in a nutshell.<\/p>\n

PxP \u2013 \u00ab pour les patients, par les patients \u00bb \u2013 est enti\u00e8rement dirig\u00e9 par une \u00e9quipe internationale<\/a> compos\u00e9e de patients exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s et de partenaires du grand public. Notre mission : offrir des ressources, du mentorat et un sentiment d\u2019appartenance aux patients partenaires et aux autres participants \u00e0 tout type de recherche en sant\u00e9. Fondamentalement, nous d\u00e9sirons tisser des liens pour renforcer la recherche.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\"PxP\n\t<\/figure>\n

\n\t\t\tQu\u2019est-ce que la participation des patients?\t<\/h2>\n\t

Le bagage des personnes ayant une exp\u00e9rience v\u00e9cue est tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9cieux pour les \u00e9quipes de recherche scientifique en sant\u00e9. Par leur expertise unique, les patients, les proches, les soignants et le grand public viennent bonifier la formation m\u00e9dicale et scientifique de l\u2019\u00e9quipe de recherche, renfor\u00e7ant la recherche en sant\u00e9 dans toutes les \u00e9tapes de son processus. La \u00ab participation des patients \u00bb est un terme souvent utilis\u00e9 pour d\u00e9crire une contribution g\u00e9n\u00e9rale aux projets de recherche en sant\u00e9; on parle \u00e9galement de \u00ab participation des patients et du public \u00bb. G\u00e9n\u00e9ralement, une personne ayant une exp\u00e9rience v\u00e9cue est un un \u00ab patient partenaire<\/strong> \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Un patient partenaire peut \u00eatre appel\u00e9 \u00e0 donner son avis sur un projet de recherche ou sur une initiative de plusieurs fa\u00e7ons, notamment en livrant ses r\u00e9flexions sur le concept initial, les m\u00e9thodes, les r\u00e9sultats et d\u2019autres sujets, comme les moyens de faire parvenir les r\u00e9sultats de recherche \u00e0 ceux qui en ont besoin. Les \u00e9quipes de recherche pourraient accorder une place aux patients partenaires dans toutes sortes de projets en sant\u00e9, en allant de la science fondamentale (l\u2019observation de m\u00e9canismes pr\u00e9cis du corps humain) aux \u00e9tudes cliniques (l\u2019\u00e9tude de nouveaux traitements).<\/p>\n

Il est \u00e0 noter que la \u00ab participation des patients \u00bb aux recherches en sant\u00e9 et la participation \u00e0 une \u00e9tude sont deux concepts nettement diff\u00e9rents. \u00catre participant \u00e0 une \u00e9tude (par exemple, en essayant un nouveau traitement ou un nouveau programme de prise en charge) est une bonne fa\u00e7on de faire avancer les soins de sant\u00e9, mais ne demande pas n\u00e9cessairement de donner son avis sur la recherche en tant que telle.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tQu\u2019est-ce qui rend PxP unique?\t<\/h2>\n\t

We like to think we’re unique in lots of ways, but let’s start with these two:<\/p>\n

  1. Nous sommes enti\u00e8rement g\u00e9r\u00e9s par des patients<\/span>. Chaque ressource de notre plateforme, chaque sujet abord\u00e9 durant notre conf\u00e9rence a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9lectionn\u00e9 par notre comit\u00e9 de patients partenaires.<\/li>\n
  2. PxP est pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment pour les patients<\/span>. Malgr\u00e9 le progr\u00e8s remarquable des ressources sur la participation des patients, beaucoup d\u2019entre elles sont con\u00e7ues pour les scientifiques. Les chercheurs sont les bienvenus \u00e0 cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement de septembre, mais nous accordons la priorit\u00e9 aux patients partenaires.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
